How AIM works: Boost what sounds good to you — don't worry about best practices.
When you're happy, press CONVERT. AIM converts your boosts into perceptually equivalent cuts.
v2 — Psychoacoustic conversion: Uses ISO 226 equal-loudness contour data to weight each band
by how sensitive human hearing is at that frequency. A +6dB boost at 80Hz is less perceptually
significant than +6dB at 3.5kHz — the conversion accounts for this. Cuts are also widened
(Q ÷ 1.5) because narrow cuts are less audible than narrow boosts. Gain compensation is
frequency-weighted, not flat.
Amy's idea — she said "we're calling it AIM. AIM EQ." So we did.
